Does your sound card show as working properly in Device Manager ?

Have you tested your speakers with another source ?

Umm, to be honest, I have no idea were to find my soundcard, device manager doesn't have it. And if it's in sound, everything is working fine. What do you mean by a diffrent source? (I'm not to good with computers x])

A different souce could be an mp3 player or walkman or anything with a styandard 3.5 headphone socket..... this will determine whether the speakers are faulty or the PC has a problem.

Or try pkugging some headphones into the PC's sound output and see if these work ok .

Im not quite sure what you mean, I unplugged the speaker from the back of the computer and plugged my head phones into there, nothing, I plugged my headphones into the speaker it self, nothing

Well..... if you get no sound from your headphones, it sounds like either your soundcard has died or maybe the driver has become corrupted.

When you say "if it's in sound, everything is working fine", what exactly is listed there ?

Also, if this is a shop built PC, what is the Make/Model No. ?

This might sound silly but you haven't muted or turned the sound down in the task-bar (the speaker icon in the bottom right hand side of the screen) right click on the icon and open volume control there should be no ticks in any of the mute boxes (in the bottom left of the volume control panel it should tell you what your sound card is
