Default Sound Problems
OKKKKKK..
Im new at the forums but I really need help.

Recently by using Ebay I made myself a computer
Specs:
AMD Athlon 3800+ X2
Asus a8n sli Mobo
MSI geForce 8800
2 Gb of Ram
Windows Vista Ultimate

The computer was intened for gaming. You know me being excited I put in The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion and start playing ecerything is fine the graphics are sexy and the game is fast. Then I realize that my sound is not working. I have Ac'97 audio. Preiviously on my old computer (which had vista as well) it worked good. But now there is no sound. Can somebody help me, I tried different Drivers but none of its is working.!!

what does the tray icon look like on the bottom right

and also is there a yellow exclamation mark on your sound card in the device manager?

no thing is that the sound is on the motherboard itself
and there is an icon of speaker at the bottom right with an X over it when i click it sayd that there is n deeive installed
