| I just installed a Radeon HD 2600 XT video card (I previously had an intigrated ATI Radeon Xpress 200). The video card worked great but the sound stoped working. My mom and I have been trying to fix it for 2 days now. I reformated the computer and when that was done the sound worked so i installed the new video card again and the sound doesn't work again. Any suggestions? |

| what sound card/onboard you got? try installing the drivers for it after you installed the card perhaps

| I looked under device manager and it says High Definition Audio - ATI AA01 and it is installed and working fine. |

| ok when the card is in all good and working, what does the sound icon in the task bar on the bottom right corner look like?

| Thank you for your help but I just gave in and bought a cheap sound card and now the sound works again. |
