your kind of sub is a ported sub whitch gives the long deep bass notes..pluggin the hole up will make it a sealed encloser whitch gives you a hard deep punching bass note witch i perfer..

to get the best sound quality from your sub it should be eneywere behind you or say under your pc desk
basically that air hole should not be facing you (needs to be somwere out the way) tern it on and walk around..ull here the difference

as your kind of sub is designed for a ported encloser its not strong enuf for you to tern it into a sealed encloser as the sub fights the air inside the sealed box hence the sub will blow in say a few weeks depending how loud you have it ect.i should no iv done it haha. my advice by a sealed sub woofer as they are strong enuf to fight again the air inside.. i would look for a sealed encloser sub woofer witch has a small box as that means the sub wont have much air to fight against giving you quick pouncey bass notes..
i'm not too sure they sell a sealed sub for a pc..i use my house sterio with a seprate sub

hope this helps :)
