I want speakers that are not too expensive. I have 5 audio jacks on the back on my computer (Front Left, Front Right, Rear Left, Rear Right, and (Subwoofer or center) dont remember) I want to utilize the high def audio card and these speaker jack to get good sound. Any help would be great. Thanks,
Kevin

Logitech Z series, "cheapish" but high quality sound and bass.

Not really that high quality. Low-mids are horrific on all of them. They're excellent if you want a subwoofer to take down your house but they're not high quality sound at all.

Yeah, well I have Z-2300s and there was a reason I bought $100 headphones to go with them (the sub, by the way, is excellent in this configuration). The mids balance is really atrocious and while they'll impress people for gaming or movie watching for music listening anything Creative makes is rather muddled. They're fine for general use but I wouldn't say they have high quality sound at all.

There are some in Argos (UK) for about £80 by Phillips. The bass on these speakers is absolutely epic!

These are the ones!

You mention the 5th jack as center or sub, you don't remember which.

It's both.

Left channel is usually bass and right channel is usually center.

Of course it varies unit to unit, and it's obviously incredibly simple to determine which way round yours is.
