Bose Companion 5s are really good and very expensive.I have Harmon Kardon Soundsticks II, and they are alright.I'd recommend looking for a deal on Klipsch THX certified speakers. A 2.1 system can Rock, even at low to mid levels. If you want something good under 50 bucks, get JBL Creature speakers. They are good and cheap.
