The difference is that iPod is a brand name, and I personally would stick with my iPod Touch.

Ipods are MP3 players, they are the same thing.

I have an Ipod and my girlfriend has an MP3 player - Her battery lasts longer and is better for wearing during workouts and things of that nature.
