Default About My windows vista laptop?

If I step away from my laptop for about 15 mintues, it goes like in a stand by mode where the screen turns black. How do I fix this from happening. It seems like I have to reconnect some of my programs that I still have running when it does this.

You need to go to your control panel then power options.

Turn of all power saving features.
