| Hi all, I have a big problem with my Laptop Acer Aspire 3000) where it will not turn on, regardless of whether the mains are plugged in or not. I bought a new battery in case it was that, & though it solved the problem for a few minutes, as soon as it ran down the laptop died again. The light is on in the charger, which suggests power is going through it, but it is not getting warm, which suggests that it may not be working properly & going through to the battery, or laptop. I am unable to turn the Laptop on at all now, & am wondering whether anyone has any idea about what the problem might be? I've been suggested that it may be a motherboard issue, or a charger issue. Does any one have any experience with this kind of thing!? Many thanks! Jeds |

| Well if it isn't the battery or charger than it is one of the pieces of internal hardware.
