Default Acer Aspire 5101 Awlmi motherboard

Hi, my Acer Aspire 5101 laptop has recently died and Acer are wanting £53.13p alone to just look at the laptop. It basically needs a new motherboard.

I've looked on Ebay and other places but cannot find a replacement motherboard which i can purchase to replace it.

Can anyone help me out here? If you do find one, I would really appreciate a link to it! I am in desperate need of my laptop working again.

Many thanks in advance folks.

Jonathon

I personally wouldn't bother, this is the price you have to pay for laptops i personally know its a very fiddly and more often then not a confusing puzzle game to undo all the different size screws , unhook/clip different parts of plastic and remember how to put them back together, if your set on doing it yourself then http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Acer-517TE-M51...QQcmdZViewItem

just ebay "laptop mobo" good luck

thanks for your reply, however, the link you provided was not the motherboard for my laptop. It is an Acer Aspire 5101 (5100 series) and runs Windows XP (Vista capable) P4 3.00 Ghz 1GB RAM laptop.

i guess i'll just have to keep searching every now and again.
