| A laptop not powering on is highly likely to be the PSU, battery or some internal circuit board fault, not the hard drive.
Laptops will power on without a hard drive anyway so remove it and try again, this will confirm.
You didn't say whether you replaced the bad drive or if it is still in the machine?
