I know people who have high end desktops that takes up no more space then say 2-3 cubic feet, i guess you could build a custom rig place it beside your bed providing its well ventilated , buy a wireless keyboard and mouse , & mount a monitor on your wall if space is an issue , all this would still be cheaper then the cost of a 'gaming laptop', Also I can imagen you sitting at a desk anyway with a brick under your lappy to stop it overheating under gaming load lol

No matter what the size of desktop that is exactly what they are - desktops. They aren't portable, laptops are for people on the go. We can't be carting small desktops to university.
