Hi all,

I have an Acer Aspire 6350 and it won't boot. After getting past the Acer logo i just get a black screen with a mouse pointer.

I can restore to factory settings using the eManagement Recovery tool but I have software on the laptop i cant get back soo really need it tool boot.

Is there anyway I can run some sort of system error check?

Thanks in advance,
Wilky.

Try following this to do a startup repair on Vista.

How do I use Startup Repair?

Well, you have 2 options really.

#1 Make a linux boot CD and once into the bootable linux OS backup anything to another drive or CD.

#2 Remove the hard drive and attach it to a working PC and copy anything across.
