Depends if the max resolution the laptop will output is 1920 × 1080.

I get 1080 res on mine and connect using a D-Sub(VGA) connection so HDMI isnt essential either.

That laptop also has a Blu-ray drive so you can play the discs fine too.

i read that the laptop has a recommended resolution of 1600X900 and LED FULL HD screen so i guess i can use HDMI out?

Sorry my bad, when using D-Sub/VGA it is governed by the max res of the laptop.

Using HDMI it is FULL HD regardless, so yes, you should be fine.

Also ... you should get audio via the HDMI lead, eliminating the need for seperate audio cable.
