Well my laptop has finally packed in (think i might have fried it) so i need a new one, my old one had rubbish on board graphics and would barely play the simplest of games so im looking for one with a a decent graphics card that can handle most games and is reasonably fast for 450 max if this is possible?

Cheers

Hi Mx.

No, not possible if you're buying new. You'll end up with a Celeron (or similar) and an integrated gpu.

Second hand might be an idea.

But if you want to buy new you're looking near a grand for a decent gaming lappy.

Yeah, you to. WB?

Not so, have a look on Ebay. A buddy of mine got a gorgeous HP off there; 2ghz core 2, 2gb 667 ram, 120gb hdd, 14.1 w/screen, a not bad gpu.

Retailed around the £750 mark and he picked it up for £400 still in warranty.

Arrived and it was in awesome condition.

No harm in looking MX.

Wow definetly no harm in looking! Trouble is most of them list all the spec apart from the graphics card. So you might end up buying a fast laptop which cant play my games again!

Easy peasy.

If you see anything you like on there contact the buyer and request the model number of the card (if they don't submit it on the advert).

If you're still unsure post the model and make of the lappy on here and we'll find it for you.

No probs fella.

You'll be able to game, albeit slowly on that gpu.

But my concern is that in the "Description" box it's quoted as an AMD Turion.

But in the main ad an Intel Core.

Might want to check that if you're thinking about bidding fella.

Done a bit of searching and in HP's archives they quote it as a Turion (which is in no way a bad cpu) but, interestingly, a 7600 gpu. Now thats not bad.

You'll need adobe as its a pdf
