i dont think so since if u do that, people might think that u werent focusing on doing the jury duty and maybe they wont listen to ur opinions

While you wait to be called to a specific court room from the general pool of jurors? It depends upon your courthouse jury waiting area. In my town we have internet and electrical outlets available in the Superior Court jury waiting area. You may have to remove your laptop from your bag when you enter if your courthouse's security requests. But, I don't think that there are any general prohibitions against bringing your laptop. Check your court's webpage for juror information.

I don't think so. If yo are chosen to serve on the jury, they will want your full attention, and won't let you have it. It would be a pain to let you take it home, and you certainly don't want to leave it in your car. I think it would be best to leave it at home.

I can't see a big problem with it whilst you are on downtime. But during a trial (and not just whilst you are physically in the court during the trial, but even for the selection process), I imagine there would be a problem due to your ability to use and pass on information that may be confidential during the court process. Best thing to do is contact the court on the jury liaison number they would have given you (may be called something else in your part of the world), and they will let you know for sure.Good luck, and thanks for putting your hand up to serve.
