Default Comaq Presario R3000 Power Jack change then lcd failure

Hi there, I recently had problem with the power supply on my laptop. After trying everything I evenually changed the power jack, I followed guidlines on how to do it and was extra careful with the soldering. My laptop now starts up and runs, but the lcd screen wont come on at all. Has anyone had the same problems? And does anyone have any idea what gone wrong + how to fix it?????

Many thanks

When dismantling the laptop you probably dislodged a ribbon connector from the base to the screen.

You will need to take it apart again and check everything.
