I have a COMPAQ Presario 2200 that has a backlight issue. I actually purchased a second to use for parts and through the process of swapping various parts have determined that BOTH LCD screens work, BOTH Inverters work, and BOTH video cables work (though one has a little bit of a bad connection.)

On the computer with the backlight problem, I've used my LCD TV as a monitor and it worked fine, which I understand means the video card must be functioning.

In addition, I CAN barely see what is on the screen with a flashlight pointed at it.

I am stumped. If anyone has any ideas I'd greatly appreciate it.
