Compaq Presario R3200 palm rest

Default Compaq Presario R3200 palm rest
Okay, so I recently dropped my r3200 and it broke the front palm rest. I bought one from ebay and put it on. Works great. But the person that sold me the palm rest had worn it out so it looks gray mostly but it is black-ish where he had his palm all the time. It is really an eyesore. Is there anything to do to get rid of the mark?:rofl :
