Hi,

I enquired to my student contents insurance when I first got my laptop about insuring it (built by PC Specialist), they said yes they'll insure it so I thought great, I'll wait til I move into my new flat to insure it.
So now I find out they don't insure custom builds and most laptop insurers only insure laptops upto 3 months old.

Is there anywhere I can insure it that will accept it?

Help greatly appreciated.

Is it a custom build? do you tell them what you wanted or did you buy it "off the shelf"as is ?
Cant you possibly get insured from the guys who built it?

If your comp is quite expensive then why not get insurance for your flat? That's what I did as I have a few bits that I couldn't stand to lose
My local bank offer rented flat insurance for €13 a month
