Default Dell 1525........how are they??

i am buying a laptop this weekend for my girl for valentines, i was wondering for the price $699.00, how does the Dell 1525 rate?

Default Dell 1525........how are they??

its very basic but will do well with internet browsing, office work and media. it will also do some light gaming and will work ok with design programs such as photoshop and flash but im not sure about 3d stuff

Default Dell 1525........how are they??

considering what it offers at that price, it isn't bad. there isn't an awful lot of stuff out there for the same price that offers the same kind of stuff. i'm just weary about the fact that it's a dell. dell machines were never really top of the line in terms of quality unless you're talking about their XPS series. and even those have some room for improvement.

quite frankly, maybe you'd be better off buying a similar laptop from gateway or compaq or something. i'm pretty sure there are similarly priced machines there that offer similar options. and from what i've seen, they're also usually better quality in the long run.

if you'd rather just stick with it, then by all means. it's not bad at all.

yes i forgot that dell laptops are poorly built. i have 2 dell laptops and everything was ok for a year then the ac socket broke on both of them!

so yes go for something from a good brand such as sony, compaq, etc
