Right, Basically, I put my laptop in to the shop to get the screen replaced after it was devastated by baby sick, and it works fine now, However, At start up there are 4 screens and a dotted white pixel line across the centre, it shows it like this up until the point where the windows logo is by itself in a circle in the middle of the screen (just before the destop appears on Vista) and from then on is fine. What is up with it?

Some of my settings, such as resolution size and backlight brightness levels regarding AC adaptor/battery powered had altered too. But obviously i've sorted this out.

I'm going into the shop tomorrow to ask what they're playing at but was wondering if anyone on here had any idea what was up with it, or how to fix it. The only thing I could think of is an incompatibility issue or incorrect connection of the screen or inverter but then I can't see why it'd only have an effect at start up and not at the desktop itself.

it is basically what should be seen normall full screen (e.g the dell loading screen) but 4 times as though the screen has been particioned into four equal screens inside the main one almost. There is also a thin dotted pixel line that, although is visible across the entire of the screen has about 2cm of it which is a bright white so alot more visible, this bright white bit varies as to where it is on the centre line and sometimes moves along it for a couple of cm.

Sorry for the poor quality picture, I only have my phone to take pictures on:
