| Watch that DC plug/adaptor, Dave. I have a DV1000 that has caused me nothing but trouble. Probably incidental, but not a fun fix.

| Pooped out maybe a month after my warranty expired (1 year), wouldn't charge - grabbed a new adapter to see if that was the problem, worked for about a month then failed again, new adapter worked for the same amount of time, so now I gotta grab a new plug off eBay and get that installed too (as I don't know my way around a soldering iron well enough ;) ). Just be careful unplugging it from the mains. Those plugs die really quickly and really commonly esp. on HP models (from research I've done). Otherwise, it's a good performer, but I've spent so much money trying to fix the damn thing...unlikely to happen to you, but you never know.
