Dvd-rw Lost Operation
My laptop won't read CD's how can I retrieve it draw opens etc but has no icon in MY COMUTOR either PLEASE SOMEONE MUST KNOW HOW TO DO THIS ! :D

Does restarting the machine make any difference?

You need to check if it's listed in device manager first, if it is then its being detected, if it isn't you then need to get into the bios and make sure it's being detected in there. Let me know. My System: Hybr!d

Delete it from device manager and restart again.
It should re-install itself. |

To install manually do I need software or can it be done via what is in the hard drive. If I uninstall do I delete this from the Add/Remove icon
