Hello, I have a Gateway laptop, the problem is that it restart itselft and shutdown itself sometimes, well almost everytimes, I try to install again windows xp but the same problem keep hapennig, now i can't even log on to my account, nothing, it just keep restarting itselft, what could the problem be? I will apreciate if someone help me

Sounds like overheating, if possible remove the covers on the base and clean your fans.

Sorry i left this thing to say, before that windows saids that a folder from windows system 32 is missing, but i don't understand that if I succesfully install xp again the same problem still happening

If a laptop crashes when installing XP it is probably overheating.

whell it did not crash, the installation was great, but like always whem xp is going to finish an a message prompt that its going to restart in 10 second's, ok, it restart and them whem it turn on the same problem happen that a diferent file is missing and keeps shutting and restarting itselft

did you try cleaning the fans as dave suggested?

No, but the missing files that keep apearing to me, could be because the fan is dirty or something like that?
