So my laptop recently broke and I'm just about to get it fixed. The reason it broke was because dust and lent got into the fan causing it to stop working and some part of my motherboard got fried. Anyways, since I'm getting my computer fixed I obviously want to prevent this from happening again, so how do I prevent lent and dust from getting trapped in the fan?

You can't really prevent it. You simply need to clean it with small brush if you can access it easily or with a can of compressed air/air compressor.

So I have to take my laptop apart to clean it? Or can I just use the pressurized air can from the outside?

Sometimes there are removable panels that reveal the fan, sometimes not. The more you strip it down the easier and better it is to clean.

So if I post a picture of the back of my laptop can you tell me where the fan is located and how I can get to it?

Top right.

Doesn't look like theres any specially designed panel though, Dave might know better though, I don't use laptops that much any more.
