| Suspiciously good price, as in it can't be great. Depends what you need.. do you need a good computer for whatever you do in your technicianing? Or do you just need to be able to run XP and Command Prompt? (lol) You could just buy a bigger briefcase? Or get a laptop bag and only use the briefcase for paperwork etc.? A computer not fitting in a bag is an odd reason to get a new laptop... ..but then I see where your coming from, we all like a new one every now and then, preferably the now!!

| Like said, it depends what you need it from, if you only need it for note taking, or similar low power tasks, it would be good, and you will probably prefer to take it around with you rarther than your other one, seeing as it will also be alot lighter. However if you need to run high power programs, like OS emulators etc then it probably won't be powerfull enough, atleast not to make it easy to use.

| Bahh. I have a Asus Eee PC 900 and use it more than my main computer. It is the best tool I could wish for for network troubleshooting, re imaging, remote desktop, server admin etc etc etc. Its so portable you can just place it anywhere (in the middle of server racks), boots up fast (especially now it has XP on it), turns off fast, and has plenty of ports on the side for connectivity. Whilst its not cutting edge in terms of power, it will do everything you need. I even have Photoshop and Dreamweaver on mine and they run perfectly. Considering your job, I think you'd be extremely happy with one. If I was buying now, I'd get the one you linked to, the only reason I got the one I did was because Acer had not released there models yet. There getting very good reviews now. The only thing about the Acer is that it has a normal hard drive, rather than a solid state one like mine has. I really abused mine, dropping it all the time, and it doesn't ever get affected. But, with a normal hard drive you get more space.... You may also want to look at the Asus Eee 900 or 901, or maybe the 10" screen models from Asus.
