| hi all, I am new to laptops in general and my main issue is with identifying a processor. Specifically, if it is a single core, core duo or core 2 duo. Basically, if you have a laptop in front of you and there are no stickers or labels on it, how would you know if the processor is a single or multiple core unit??? |

| If you are running Vista, click Start>Control Panel>System. EDIT: I forget what it is in XP, Start, control panel (or whatever it's called in XP lol) and system settings or system info i think. |

Start > Control Panel > Performace and Maintanence > System Or if you're in classic view, it's just CP > System
