| Hello everyone! This is my first post on this forum so hopefully im in the right place. So, i'm currently in the market for a new laptop and I was wondering if y'all could give me some advice on what I should buy. I'm on a $500-$600 budget and I want to be able to run multiple programs at once efficiently, such as, excel, pdf files, word, itunes, etc. I also want plenty of storage. Oh, and I want it to be portable as well, I'm a student and this is really important for me. Thanks guys/gals!!! |

| There is so much choice. So it isn't always easy to pick one amongst the hundreds that will suit you.

Have a look round newegg a popular online retailer, prices are the best they can be. I'm sure once you start checking out models you will have some more specific wants/needs/questions. Initial advice is stick to the well known brands. That should help get things moving. My System: Hybr!d

| I'd look at the Samsung NC10 and HP Mini 2140, for starters.

| I would say check out PC Magazine and read the reviews on the laptops this way you have a better idea what to look for. But no matter what you get make sure you also get the program disk (s) Or you may end up spending more in the long run. |
