| Hello all, I have an old Toshiba laptop which still runs pretty smoothly but the battery is completely dead. So I'm going to be trying the freezer trick i keep hearing about. Heres a before picture of the battery % & 'Time remaining'. ![]() I'm now going to remove the battery , wrap it in some newspaper and black bags , place it in the freezer and il update in 8-12 hours with a new picture, hopefully it will work, wish me luck guys. |

| After 10 hours freezing 4 - 6 hours defrost , i stuck the battery back in the laptop ran a few cycles and unfortunately there was no change to its life span, ah well it was worth a try i suppose. |

| The trick makes sense for hard drives as it stops the broken drive overheating just a few extra mins to get data off.

It does not repair the drive in any way, and likewise freezing a battery cannot repair the cells inside. My System: Hybr!d

| I know :( False hope i guess, you get to reading some convincing guides on Google and there for you end up wasting halve your day The amount of hours I've wasted trying to recreate what I've seen in How-to videos is beyond a joke lol. |
