Hi I'm wondering if anyone can give me any help or advice here regarding my laptop or whether it's time for it to be chucked out. Ok, I've had my laptop for about 3 / 4 years now, and it's had a few problems but we've managed to get them sorted, and it's been working fine since. A few nights ago I accidentally spilt water over the keyboard My friend told me to switch it off and leave it off until I was sure it was completely dry. So I did that, and turned it on the next day, and everytime I try to type it comes up with all the wrong letters. Does anyone know how I could fix this or is it broken completely?

I can't actually get onto the desktop itself as I have a password to sign in, and as you can imagine it's quite hard to type thatI have lots of my stuff saved to CD's so I've not lost anything major.

Thanks in advance

i don`t think the laptop`s dead mate it`s just the keyboard.if you`ve got a shop that servies/fixes laptops/computers take it there.ask them about it, how much it would cost to look at and fix it if possible.

It's wrecked the keyboard membrane, replacing the keyboard should sort it.

However unless you can do it yourself the repair bill will probably exceed the value of the laptop many times over.

Ok thanks for your replies. Yeah my biggest problem is that It will probably cost more to get it fixed than the thing's worth!
