I wanted to use my computer to hook a wireless cam like this one link-------- http://www.sourcingman.com/images/la...ra/t01_LRG.jpg

and I want to put the wireless reciever with the laptop in the bag and put the wireless cam hidden somewhare and have fun.

BUT, I have one problem, cooling.
I want to keep my computer cool and a cooling pad wont work due to the fact that there will be little air ciculation and I thought of using tubes but I would need a pump to circluate the air too much and might be noticeable sound. then I thought of a blue gel ice pack and thought it may not work for cold in a warm invirement will will collect moisture.

any Ideas that are cheep or I can use from home?

Cant you put the laptop in another room and not have to cool it or hide it at all?

It will be impossible to keep your temps down whilst keeping the lappy in the bag unless you start cutting wholes in it, which i doubt you want to do. If your going to be using the wireless cam for crude or illegal activities, most if not all of us won't assist you, sorry.

You might want to look up the laws on filming people without consent.

I know the laws I interned under the photography division of my local news paper. I can record with or with out the subject(s) permission and with or with out their knowledge in a public place private property is another story that is where all the legal stuff comes in. The First Amendment the freedom of taking your picture with out your permission and with out you knowing but on private property I have to get written consent of some other proof that the land owner or one of his/hers heirs and such. And anything that is LEGALLY considered Invasion of privacy which would include taping some one in the restroom, dressing room, any place that is a form of privacy and doesn't include your front porch (debatable), the street, the park, any place not own by a private entity, and city or federal property doesn't count unless otherwise stated on a sign with big letters stating so.

If it is a sex oriented then the other party needs knowledge of the fact if, it can be debated that the other gives silence as consent so there just has to be proof of knowledge. And that's everywhere even at your own residents. Unless you decided to have it in public but that's public indecency, you can go to the woods but that that has to be out city limits and not a national park unless its in a tent.

now audio is another story in my-and most- states I can not take the persons voice, ever wonder in a lot of reality show you can't hear the person and they put subtitles on instead? that's because most of the time they deleted it so not to face civil or crimnal charges, you have have the persons knowledge written or spoken in the audio. The spoken voice is as good as a contract to a certain extent.
But other than that I I just need help with the cooling problem.

If you don't have anything to contribute to the thread don't post. The OP probably is not interested in how interested you are in his topic.

That said, a laptop is probably not the way to go about this, especially any consumer laptop. Your best shot is to build a custom nano/pico-atx device with as much passive cooling as possible. Ice packs might work but on a separate, closed area of the bag to prevent condensation buildup around it.

Something that is small, aside from being cooler and better in a smaller bag, can be just as inconspicuous. Leaving a bag out in the open also means someone might come through and snatch it.
