| There is a laptop in which WindowsXP was installed. All of a sudden one day it got restart of its own and after that the Windows did not boot properly even once. Now as the computer starts WindowsXp tries to boot, but a blue screen of death appears for a moment and the system gets restart of its own. I tried to repair the Windows by an installation disk but the Windows setup says that the setup could not find any harddisk installed in the system, but the bios is showing my hdd. So what might be the possible problem? Plz help! |

| Blue screen sounds like Windows is corrupt or is having a driver issue.

Windows XP cannot detect SATA drive when installing. You need to set your HDD to IDE mode in the BIOS for XP to pick it up. My System: Hybr!d
