can anyone advise how to turn ths function on ? for some reason it doesent work

How you turn the touchpad off will be dependent on your laptop model/make.

Post those and we should be able to help.

if it's a dell, I found that if you tap the pad twice and then drag (holding down on the second tap) it will scroll. I didn't have to turn the function on or install anything.

Thats on an Inspirion and I am not sure it'll work on other models or other brands.

Follow my above advice and see how that works, I have an Inspiron too and it works perfectly.

Double tap and drag, simple as that!

Post a reply if that doesn't work and we can see if there are other problems.
