Hiya, yesterday, my new case arrived for my laptop, since the old one was damaged. I removed all the contents from the old case and put them in the new one, then when i turned it on, i saw a pure white screen, then goes normal. Eventually, when ive finished and i shut it down the screen goes white again but it has a weird symetrical pattern which spreads over the screen then it turns off. Does anyone know why it does this? It never used to.

Ive noticed a wire behind the screen which splits into two, which are connected to the foil behind the screen. The other end of this wire has two connectors which look like they should connect to something, but they arent connected to anything. I know one of these was already disconnected, but the other, i dont know.
