Hi guys, some time ago my father was admitted to hospital and i left my laptop at home and spent most of my spare time with him, when he went home to my mums i charged up my laptop and all worked fine, i recharged it and got a strong smell of "TCP"? now the laptop wont charge and the jack from the charger gets very hot anyone know if its my psu in the laptop or the charger?

It's probably the jack, replace it.

I cant replace just the jack but have had to get a new psu for it
i hope it works fingers crossed
