Default Laptop won't start

My laptop won't boot. I turn it on and it takes me to a black screen with a flashing _ icon in the top left hand corner and a continuous beep.

I tried booting into my Hard Drive through BIOS but the same thing happens.

I tried to boot into my Disk Drive to reinstall my OS but the same thing happens.

Could anybody help? I'm having so much trouble with my laptop that I'm really in no mood for this.

Cheers.

Is it one continuous unbroken beep or a number of beeps ? ...... have a look here and see if you can match it.

It's a number of beeps straight after each other. I looked at that website but it's slightly confusing me to be honest.

Well .... you need to describe the beeps in detail ..... only you can hear them

The beeps are giving a message as to what might be wrong. If a fault exists before the graphics card is booted, there is no display to show the error message and this is the way bios tells us what's wrong.

Boot up a few times and study the beep sequence and report back.
