Hello,

I'm looking to buy my first laptop. Does anyone know any really good deals going on at any online stores right now? The only specs I know I want are:
-Any version of Vista
-At least 14", but the bigger the better
-Nothing wrong with it
It can be used/OEM. It probably has to be, because I'd like to spend, at most, about $400, if possible. The less, the better. If that's unrealistic, than hopefully no more than $600. Do you know of any specials or deals going on now?

Thanks
Andrew

So far I'm comparing these... any suggestions? I'm new at laptops.

Acer Aspire 7520-5757 Laptop Computer - AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-55 1.8GHz, 802.11b/g WLAN, 1GB DDR2, 160GB HDD, DL DVDRW, 17" WXGA+, Webcam, Windows Vista Home Premium, Open Box - $579.97

Acer TravelMate 5610-4836 Open Box Notebook PC - Intel Core Solo T1350 1.86GHz, 802.11a/b/g Wireless, 1GB DDR2, 160GB HDD, Dual Layer DVD RW, 17" WXGA+, Integrated Webcam, Windows Vista Home Premium - $599.97

Acer Aspire 7520-5757 Laptop Computer - AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-55 1.8GHz, 802.11b/g Wireless, 1GB DDR2, 160GB HDD, DL DVDRW, 17" WXGA+, Webcam, Windows Vista Home Premium - $599.99

Toshiba Satellite P205D-S7802 Refurbished Notebook PC - AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile TL-58 1.9GHz, 802.11b/g Wireless, 2GB DDR2, 160GB HDD, 17" WXGA+, DL DVDRW, Windows Vista Home Premium - $599.99

Toshiba Satellite P205-S7402 Refurbished Notebook PC - Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 1.5GHz, 802.11a/b/g Wireless, 2GB DDR2, 160GB HDD, DL DVDRW, 17" WXGA+, Windows Vista Home Premium - $649.97

(Note that the last one is $50 more, so I'm reluctant about that one, unless there's something better about it)

edit: Maybe the third from last, because it's actually new?

The last one is by far the best. Nothing can beat a Core 2 Duo.

This isn't true at all and this thread is a year and a half old.
