Default No drivers!!
Well i got a new laptop and vista was doing my head in so i wiped it and installed xp, i went on to the toshiba website and tryed to download the drivers but some wont download and others wont install once ive downloaded them so i dont no what to do? Any ideas?

P.S I dont have a recovery CD and the only 2 drivers ive got on it are the display and wlan drivers as there the only ones that have worked!

Is there anyway to see what sound card i have so i can try and find a driver for it? As when i go to the device manager i doesnt say.

Right i think the sound driver problem isnt to do with the driver itself as i downloaded it from a diffrent website and it came up with the same error:

Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver.

HELP!!

What does that error mean?

My sound was working fine before i wiped the laptop and put xp on so.......

It means that is the wrong driver for your laptop sound card.

You WILL need them from Toshiba, there are 1000's of variations of drivers and Toshiba will have ones specific to you laptop.
