Anybody else having grief with this monster?

Problem is, When you say you want to update, it says a newer version is available, but on running the updater it then says the current version is newer than the one being installed. It then takes forever not installing the new version.

So you go to uninstall it and the uninstaller just runs the installer!

So Nokia provide a sledgehammer to remove it completely, but that just crashes and sends an error message to M$.

So you try the usual tack of editing the registry to zap it but try as you may it never quite vanishes...

Sounds like a bit of a bugger!!

I know Nokias PDA type phones are next to useless.

I don't generally give up on these things but this one has me beaten! The only events logged appear as things like

Fault bucket 923031128.
Fault bucket 462181499.

Annoying.. lol I got rid of mine a while back with no problem (standard Control Panel Remove/Change programs jobby)

maybe they changed something since then. :S

They certainly have! But the complaints stretch back to 2004!

Yuck - Nokia!

I have had sony erissons's for years and never had problems - the software is great too. Got a Samsung now which uses Activesync and it is truly awful! (Activesync that is).

Are you just trying to transfer music/pics etc? If so does the computer just not see the phone as a flash drive?

Unlike you I do like Nokia phones.

Update: I finally removed the suite using Revo Uninstaller.
