Everytime I log on the numberlock is on on my keyboard. I turn it off and then next time I log on or another user logs on - its on again! It only started doing this recently. Any ideas please?

By default the Number Lock should always come on Moma.
Turn it off and try using the numeric keypad on the right hand side. It won't work.
I would keep it turned on. :)

You can of course turn it off in the bios but I wouldn't recommend it.

Sorry, should have mentioned its a laptop so it isn't usually on. It's not actually mine and personally it wouldn't particularly phaze me but the owner seems to be unable to cope with pressing Function 11 each time!

Argh right.
Well I'm unsure how it would affect the lappy but it may stop the top row numbers being used altogether by turning it off.

If you want it to be off by default as opposed to on like you have turn it off in your BIOS.

You will still be able to turn it on via the num lock key should you need it in future.

Don't know if I'd dare touch BIOS. This actually only started to happen after digital camera software was installed. This software has been installed on two other laptops without the same thing happening but could it have done something in BIOS do you think?

Have a look at this screenshot of the bios Moma especially the bit dealing with Boot Up Num-Lock.

OK, so if I just change to off or disable, that should solve it?

In a word Yes.
It's a legacy bios thing that is still part of any bios and does not take into consideration laptops.
Make sure you Save the change when exiting the bios.
