 Power adapter I have a laptop that will no longer charge...i have tried to plug the adapter into the wall and a power strip...it worked before, but now it will not charge the battery. I have noticed that if i hold the adapter to my ear that i hear a faint beep which sounds at about 1 second intervals when it is plugged in. If unplugged from the wall the noise stops. Would this be an indicator noise saying "im dead or fried"?       |

| Power adapter Either that or the DC plug's dead. Only way to check is to buy another one and see.

| Power adapter Could you get your hands on a second power adaptor? and if you can and it still doesnt work then maybe its time you replaced your battery.
