| I just ordered a new Dell Inspiron 600 dc power jack to replace the one that I accidentally broke. A couple of questions I have. 1. How and what tools do I need to clean the holes so I can put the new dc power jack nice and tight? 2. Do I just use regular solder or do I need special tool and equipment to solder this dc power jack in? Thank you. |

| what do you mean by "DC power jack"? Do you mean Power Supply Unit (PSU) or charger? answers for PSU: 1: You will not really need any tools exept a screwdriver 2: No need to solder, it's screwed in. The wires are plugged in to the mobo with a plug. Answers for charger: 1: No tools required 2: No soldering required, just plug it in Hope this helps :)

| You just straight solder the new one in. Dismantling the laptop is going to be the hard part, that and getting it back together.
