Default Replace and fix Dell Inspiron 600 DC Power Jack

I just ordered a new Dell Inspiron 600 dc power jack to replace the one that I accidentally broke. A couple of questions I have.

1. How and what tools do I need to clean the holes so I can put the new dc power jack nice and tight?
2. Do I just use regular solder or do I need special tool and equipment to solder this dc power jack in?

Thank you.

what do you mean by "DC power jack"? Do you mean Power Supply Unit (PSU) or charger?

answers for PSU:
1: You will not really need any tools exept a screwdriver
2: No need to solder, it's screwed in. The wires are plugged in to the mobo with a plug.

Answers for charger:
1: No tools required
2: No soldering required, just plug it in

Hope this helps :)

You just straight solder the new one in. Dismantling the laptop is going to be the hard part, that and getting it back together.
