I found this, like it, but again im not the most savvy in hardware. what caught my attention was the 260M. Rated #21 by notebookcheck.net as of 2009-08-15 i was wondering what some people would recomend for CPU's ad Ram, with Windows 7 out and all. I do a fair amount of hard CPU work, but right now my T5800 (core 2 duo, 2Ghz) works fairly well. Also wondering about the Sound card. Never really knew what the difference would be... Thanks |

You don't need that to run Windows 7, if you can run Vista, you can easily run 7.
You wont get a professional sound card on a laptop, there's no point. On a desktop you'd gain negligible performance gains with a sound card but you get better sound quality, assuming you get a good one. Any 775 processor will go through 7 like a breeze, a good dual core one and you're set. Any DDR2 or DDR3 and you're good to go. 4Gb is cheap enough and a good amount. Get a reliable brand such as GeIL or Corsair and you wont go far wrong. Any Vista capable PC will run Windows 7. |
