What are the chances that my slow laptop and one fan not working are related occurences?
Some time ago, I would hear something spinning up, (I thought it was the hard drive) and then it would make a sound like whatever was spinning was grinding to a stop. This laptop spent 11 months in a dry, sometimes dusty environment. I did a total re-format on the hard drive, in case there was something that my anti-virus was not catching, but the problem did not go away. Please help. Thanks |

Fans are there for a reason, if the fan has died then get it replaced before you cook it.
