Default TOSHIBA A210-17I Overheating!

Hi, i've had my laptop since November and my laptop constantly overheats, it's a huge problem as I dont know how to open up this laptop and clean the fan is there any way I can make the fan stay on all the time to keep the CPU temp down?

Any Help would be great thanks

Fans are thermostat controlled, if they need to be on permanently, they will.

That aside they can still overheat as dust blocks the airways.

Get a can of compressed air and blow it out, they come with a nozzle so you can reach most places.

Why would you want to, it will run at 100% if it needs to already. Overriding it will just ware it out faster as it will run 100% when it isn't needed. Cleaning is the answer, don't bodge it or it will cost you in the long term when the thing melts.

thanks, i have baught a can off ebay as you said :) hopefully i should be able to sort it out.

also i have another problem with my sound, when i click the speaker on the task bar, when music is playing it has a green level, showing it's working, but theres no sound coming through the speakers or my headphones? i was thinking as I have a laptop it will be very difficult to replace the sound card, so is an external one the best option thanks
