Default Toshiba P25 Laptop with a Loose DC Jack - DC Jack Repair

Im sure this problem has been address here before. Ive read a few different pages about it, but Ive got a few questions that are computer specific to give me more confidence in doing this myself.

Ive got a Toshiba P25 with a loose DC jack and now its stopped charging the computer due to it being loose. Ive re-soldered all the DC jack pins twice now and 3 days later, it just becomes loose again BUT during those three days it works great, so its definately a loose DC issue.

I figured ide give it a try but the thing is, my power jack has 6 pins on the bottom like this...
If i were to wire an external DC jack, which pins are positive and negative? In order to send a positive and negative wire out, ide imagine I can only make 2 solders? My GUESS is that the end pin is the positive and the other 5 pins are negative?? If so, do I solder all of the 5 negative pins together into one mega-solder and attach the negative lead out from that?

And once I run the wire out, does the external jack need to be the same model as the one IN the computer? The one shown on the repair website shows the external one as having only two points on it? Any help you guys can send my way would be greatly appreciated. This is starting to drive me nuts.

I have no idea which pins are which but a trick i found so i could re-solder a dc jack in without it coming loose again was to solder in as normal and then cut up on old mobile phone sim card and wedge it underneath and using a hot melt glue gun to hold it in place. Have repaired a few like this and had no problems with it coming loose again.

We are actually seeking possible clients regarding litigation for Jack failure on certain model Toshibas. The issue with these is not the jack for the 3.0mm style Singatron but circuit board trace failures. (Have repaired tons).. The heavy wire lead in the rear is the Positive and the other contacts are all negative. Email if interested in Litigation regarding.. We were directly involved for an HP case that went very well and made a ton of consumers very happy.
Good luck!

Hah, had a HP DV1000's jack go out about a year ago, stupid thing was a month out of warranty. Never got around to getting it fixed, wanted to charge me $80.
