Hi all , I have a friends toshiba satellite 1800-921 laptop which he has dropped and no longer works. The problem is the laptop powers up when swithced on but does not POST and shows no activity from the hard drive, black screen and no BIOS ....any ideas gratefully received. Already removed the battery and discharged all power and reinsered the battery.

Sounds like it is bad shape, how old is it, faults like these are normally totally un-economical to repair.
