Default Which touchphone for me HTC or iPhone or others?

Im trying to get a new touchphone, so far there are 2 which caught my attention, one is htc touch diamond and the other would be the iphone 3G (16GB) , As far as i know, my guts are telling me to get the HTC touch diamond but my friend keep pestering me to get iphone instead. Reason why HTC over iPhone coz its a lot stylish than the other LOL but honestly im seriously gonna get a new phone this year need advice

Things that i prefer/like,
- good processing speed
- wifi
- camera
- music
- 3G, bluetooth
- internet browsing
- stuffs like calender, to do list and etc
- more functions would be better

Im willing to spend between £300-£500

Do you guys have any other model which is better than the 2 that i have listed please do share...need expert advice coz this would be my first touchphone coz since im still using the SOny Ericsson W850i and its aging...thank u

Samsung Tocco (F480/90) is another one worth considering, it's cheaper than competitors, and although Samsungs are reasonably well known for things going wrong (mostly the batteries) they're even better for fixing/replacing the problem.

As you would guess the F490 is the newer version, comes with a bit more, costs a very surprisingly small amount more, but as you're budget is over the price anyway, I'm guessing you'd opt for that.

Info & Review here
Ignore the part saying the interface doesn't work well, they're being very critical, the only real problem with it is one scrolling down through a list (of say, music) its hard to get it to pin point where you want it, this is because what it actually does is do a page down type operation, so the bottom song if you scrolled once would not appear, but the next one after it would. All they've done is animate a page down function.

It can be quite annoying if you're say looking for a song starting "Ib" and the bottom one is "Iazzzzzzzzz" you know its the next one, on a PC you'd scroll a bit and it would helpfully be right in front of you, however here it would be right at the top.

But in my opinion despite that its a great phone, there may even be a way to change the number of lines skipped in scrolling, not owning the phone, I don't know.

Well the main reason not to get an iphone, is if you don't want to go over to O2 as your provider(I don't know who you have at the moment though, so this may not be a problem), There are hacks out to allow it to use any network, but they are third party programs and as they are changing the way the phone operates (as it was made to only work with O2) so be careful if you are doing this.

Samsung Omnia (SGH-i900v). Has calendars and stuff, 5MP camera (so better than the iphone), you can actually send MMS (unlike the iphone), has wireless, bluetooth, little mouse too, alrams, task list and office mobile.

Great little device - can be got Sim Free for under 500 quid.

I like the HTC phones myself. The OS, the difference from other makers. Their site has got some nice looking phones we wont see over here for a few years.
