Default Universal Laptop Chargers

I bought a universal laptop charger a couple of days back and it has now exploded on me:4-dontkno Then a friend told me to check the power i need on the back of my laptop. It says 19v and 3.16A i think max. The universal charger i had used a cable of 10A:eek: But i could change the volt to 19V. Now i'm wondering what should i do.

Should i buy my original samsung charger for around 40-50 or should i get the universal charger for just 20 ? Couldn't i just get a cable that is 3A and use it with the universal charger ?

Btw, the universal charger is called Meind i think.

Thanks for the help:smile:

Get the original charger from Samsung. Lots of the cheap(so called universal) chargers are rubbish and if it hasn't already, could fry your Laptop.

Agreed, you get what you pay for. Cheap ones are often not matched to you machine and/or are poor quality.
